Are GA and Half-Fare travelcards valid?

No, GA and Half-Fare travelcards are not valid on the whole of Lake Walen, as Schiffsbetrieb Walensee AG is not part of the SBB fare network.

Are the municipal day tickets also valid on Lake Walen?

No, day tickets issued by the municipality are not valid on the whole of Lake Walen.

Is there a discount for groups?

The group discount is 10% of the ticket price for groups of 10 or more adults.

Groups of 10 people or more must be registered in advance.

What discounts are available?

Groups: 10% group discount for groups of 10 adults or more

Seniors: Every Monday (except public holidays) during the summer season, seniors benefit from a half-price day ticket.

Children: Every 1st Wednesday of the month, children up to the age of 16 travel free of charge when accompanied by an adult (except for groups such as MuKi, KiTa, kindergarten and schools)

Families: The family day ticket is available for two parents and their own children up to the age of 16 for CHF 60.00 (online) / CHF 70.00 (on the boat)

Glarner Kantonalbank: On presentation of the GLKB Maestro or Master card, guests receive 50% off the day ticket for adults.

Do I have to register my planned trip?

Registration is required for groups of 10 or more people, for wheelchairs and for bicycles. Group registrations do not count as seat reservations.

Can I reserve a seat on the boat?

Group bookings do not count as seat reservations. Exception: In the case of pre-ordered consumption on course trips, we make every effort to keep the seats in the on-board restaurant free.

Can I take my bike on board?

Bicycles are transported on the Weesen-Walenstadt-Weesen route where possible (registration required). Bicycles are not transported on the Murg-Au-Quinten-Murg line.

Are dogs allowed on the ship?

Dogs are allowed on our ships, but a reduced ticket must be purchased for them (50% of the regular ticket price). Please note that different rules may apply on event cruises.

Do accompanying persons of passengers with a disability travel free of charge?

Passengers with the "Disabled Passenger's ID Card" may take one accompanying person with them free of charge on all scheduled scheduled scheduled services.

Are the boats wheelchair accessible?

Not all ships are equally suitable for wheelchairs. Please register wheelchairs in advance.

Does the ship also sail in bad weather?

The ship sails in all weathers (even during thunderstorms). Only in a few exceptional cases can the jetties not be operated due to strong gusts of wind.

What can be consumed on the course boat?

On the scheduled boat on the Weesen-Walenstadt-Weesen line, drinks from the drinks menu will quench your thirst. Small snacks (potato chips, Linzertörtli, nuts) and ice cream are also available. Menus, aperitif buffets, canapés, croissants or desserts for groups are only available if ordered in advance or for boat hire/event cruises.

On the Murg-Au-Quinten-Murg line there are no on-board catering facilities.
