With our six passenger ships and one cargo ship, we operate daily on the “Swiss Fjord”—whether on scheduled routes, public event cruises, or private events. To ensure our guests experience Lake Walen at its best, we’re looking for cheerful, dedicated crew members with an interest in technology and a team spirit.

To support our team, we are looking for a motivated, flexible, and easygoing person to start immediately or at a time to be agreed upon:

Boat Captain (80–100%)

Your mission on board:

• You will operate our ships safely and professionally and be responsible for ensuring smooth operations on board.
• You will welcome and assist our guests, sell and check tickets, and provide information about the lake and our region.
• You ensure safety on board and remain calm and act competently, even in emergencies.
• In the event of technical problems or incidents, you'll pitch in and find solutions tailored to the situation.
• You'll help with dock maintenance and shipyard work, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty.
• You'll keep the ships clean and handle the daily cleaning of the decks.

Do you already have experience as a boat captain and hold a BI or BII/1 boat captain’s license? Then you’ve come to the right place!

• Enjoyment of working with people
• Flexibility for shift work, including evenings and weekends
• Team spirit, resilience and physical fitness
• Interest in technology and manual dexterity
• Fluency in German

The choice is yours

With us, you can choose between two employment models: Opt for a full-time, year-round position and work as a captain on our ships during the summer season, from March through November. During the winter season, you’ll assist our team with shipyard and maintenance work. Or you can work on an hourly wage basis with a fixed-term seasonal contract.
