The transport of the century of the MS Schwyz

The 25-year-old motor vessel Schwyz is moving from Lake Zug to Lake Walen. Built in 1998, the ship no longer fits perfectly into the fleet of Zugersee Schifffahrt, but all the better into the Walenseeschiff fleet.

The spectacular ship transport will start in Zug on October 23, 2023. The ship will be transported to Lake Walen over four days and three nights. The planning was extremely complex, partly due to the dimensions of the ship. The wheelhouse had to be completely dismantled for the transport.

The MS Schwyz is almost three times as wide as the heavy transporter.
