The 57-metre-high Murgbach Falls are located in the middle of a picture-book alpine landscape. The pristine lower Murgsee is nestled in a protected Swiss stone pine reserve and sparkles like a jewel. Almost directly next to the lake, the still young Murg stream tumbles over a shimmering red rock face. The Murgbach Falls can be reached on foot in 5 hours from Murg railroad station. Alternatively, you can take a car or the Murg Valley Taxi (on call) from Murg to Mornen, the starting point of the Murgsee hike, from where it is a good 1.5 hours' walk to the falls.
