museumbickel

Place for contemporary art

The museumbickel in Walenstadt has been in existence since 2002 and is supported by the Karl Bickel Foundation. It organizes three to four exhibitions per year. Interesting contemporary positions from Switzerland and neighboring countries are shown, and the art produced in the region is also regularly highlighted. One exhibition per year is dedicated to the works of Karl Bickel.

With its independent program and numerous stimulating accompanying events, such as guided tours, concerts and panel discussions, museumbickel has become an important venue for the region's art scene.

The museumbickel impresses with its exhibition hall of almost unchanged industrial architecture from the beginning of the twentieth century. The pillar-free hall of 400 m2 offers everything that the basic needs of art require in terms of time and space, silence and light.

Group visits and guided tours on request, also outside opening hours.
